The car is packed. The kids are buckled in. The sodas are in the drink holders and the snacks are within quick reach. An enthusiastic rendition of Life is a Highway has tapered off and everyone has settled in for a few hours of driving.
The highway rolls under and the scenery rolls by. For awhile, everything out the windows starts to look the same. That’s when you know – the road trip boredom has set in.
Even in a province as diverse and beautiful as Alberta, it happens. With 473,000 km of single-lane equivalent roads in total, if the roads were to be cut up and laid out end-to-end, there’d be enough to go past the moon.
That’s a lot of pavement! And to see all the amazing attractions that dot those roads can mean a lot of time cramped in the car.
So, we’re here to help. Turn that radio back up and pull out one (or all!) of our three FREE Road Trip Alberta Bingo Cards.
Make your next road trip fun. Make it a challenge!
Download our bingo cards and keep them handy on your phone, or print them off and toss them in your glove box. You might already be able to cross off a line already based on what you’ve seen on previous road trips, but we challenge you to start fresh or make it a goal to cross off the whole board. Even if you’re just making the routine drive from Calgary to Edmonton, these cards will make the trip FUN. Let the cards help guide you around the province!
About the Alberta Road Trip Bingo Cards
Iconic Roadside Attractions
Did you know that Alberta is home to the world’s largest cowboy boot? Or a replica of the Starship Enterprise? This road trip bingo card will take you to diverse areas of the province and back again. (Oh, and we’ve thrown in a couple with our tongue firmly in our cheek – because maybe they are iconic for all the wrong reasons – hello, giant blue ring in Calgary!)
Iconic Alberta Sights
We thought long and hard about this one, trying to determine what are truly symbolic sights of Alberta. We had to include elusive things like the Great Horned Owl (our provincial bird) and Northern Lights (best seen in the far north during the fall and winter months). And we couldn’t forget about the bright yellow canola fields that are only visible a few weeks in the year or the more common sights like motorhomes that line the highways in summer. This might be the easiest of the three cards, but it is no less the fun.
Iconic Alberta for Foodie
So we expect some contentious feedback on this one! In such a delicious province as Alberta is, narrowing down all of the options to just the twenty-four required to complete a bingo card was a painful task. We crowdsourced some of the selections but also relied on our own tongues and tummies to determine others. We knew we couldn’t go wrong with Wieners of Waterton, but will you all agree with us about including donuts from the Crooked Creek Store in Crooked Creek?
*NEW* Majestic Waterfalls of Alberta
Based on reader feedback, we’ve created a brand new downloadable bingo card with details from our article about waterfalls in Alberta. DO go chasing waterfalls with this one. 😉

MORE Iconic Alberta Road Trip Bingo Cards?
Our plan is to continue to create them. We’ll get deeper into niche cards – making some specifically for the kidlets in your car, and even for narrower regions within the province.
Got any ideas? We’d love to hear them!
Now that your ready for some road trip fun, let us help you get planning!
