Lethbridge is the third-largest city in Alberta and it boasts an average of 320 days of sunshine per year! It is also full of history and culture, has plenty of good food and beverage options, and the city commonly plays host to some of the most popular sporting events. Because of that, there are plenty of stellar options for Lethbridge hotels and other accommodations.

A moon rises over the Lethbridge train bridge

It’s a wonder that the city is not more popular than it is. For the outdoor adventurer, there are over 130 parks and more than 240 kilometres of hiking and walking trails throughout. The most scenic attraction in the city is in the coulee by the Old Man River where you can marvel at one of the tallest train bridges in the world. There is some great shopping available in its centre, and in our experience, you don’t have to look too hard to find good deals on Lethbridge hotels.

So we’re not kidding when we say that Lethbridge is worth more than a single-day trip!

Plan a longer trip to Lethbridge

Make your journey a multi-day event. Besides having lots of things to do in Lethbridge, it’s the perfect spot to base yourself to take advantage of the many stunning surrounding attractions including:

  • The mountains of Waterton Lakes National Park are towards the west.
  • The hoodoos and history of Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park in the south.
  • And the gorgeous prairie corridor towards the east!
