Calgary Tower‘s revolving restaurant, Sky 360, gives you and your special someone stunning views of the city while you celebrate Valentine’s Day over a romantic dinner. Their 3-course Valentine’s Day menu starts with a selection of canapés, including oysters and foie gras.
The first and second dishes include lamb tartare, burrata and winter citrus salad, a braised short-rib, and seared Icelandic cod. The meal finishes with a choice of chocolate marquise, olive oil financier or a decadent cheeseboard for dessert.

Selkirk Grille
A family-friendly location for your Valentine’s date, the Selkirk Grille sits just outside the Heritage Park Historical Site of Calgary. Their Valentine’s Dinner is a three or four-course option with some incredible mains selections, including Beef Tenderloin, Arctic Char Gremolada, or Asparagus and Truffle Risotto. It will be a meal that you and you’re loved one won’t forget.

Thomsons Kitchen & Bar
Celebrate the special day with a five-course Valentine’s Day meal at Thomsons Kitchen & Bar. The dinner features a warming winter salad and a delicious Alberta bison steak, among other tasty dishes. A wine pairing is also offered with the meal.

Valentine’s Day at the Zoo
For the 29th year, “In the Heat of the Night” at the Calgary Zoo is an 18+ Valentine’s Day event being held for three nights only on February 10 (sold out), 13th and 14th. Enjoy a four-course romantic dinner followed by a cheeky presentation about how animals show their love in the wild at the ENMAX Conservatory.

Tender Tingles at the Telus Spark Science Centre
It’s time to celebrate the Science of Tender Tingles! On February 9th, Telus Spark Science Centre kicks off its first Spark After Dark event of the year with Tender Tingles and Tantalizing Science, an immersive exploration into the science of romance. Learn about why feelings, people, thoughts, sights, sounds and food spark a shiver up your spine!

Southern Stardust Big Band Valentine’s Dinner and Dance
Enjoy an evening of elegance on February 10 at the Austrian Canadian Culture Centre‘s Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance featuring Calgary’s own Southern Stardust Big Band. After the dinner buffet, taste an assortment of cakes and squares from Austria, such as Sacher torte.
Following the meal, there will be an orchestra specializing in music from the heyday with ballroom dancing that will have you on your feet until the end of the night.

Free Things to Do on Valentine’s Day in Calgary
Ice Skating
There are several spots for outdoor ice skating in Calgary. Bowness Park, Olympic Plaza, Glenmore Ice Trail and Shaganappi Park are all popular spots to strap on the skates. It’s always super cute to see couples holding hands and gliding across frozen ponds. After your skate, what better way to warm up than with a steaming cup of hot chocolate? (Note that Olympic Plaza is closed for skating on Valentine’s Day.)
Valentine’s Day Market
On February 10, dozens of vendors will gather at the Alexandra Dance Hall for the Valentine’s Day Market. The event features live music, food vendors, and booths selling homemade jewellery, clothes, art and food.
Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day by shopping locally! The Valentine’s Day Market is free to enter, but you’ll need to reserve a spot.
Chinook Blast
Celebrate Valentine’s weekend with a visit to Chinook Blast for the city’s best art, music and theatre. From February 2nd until February 19th, see B!G Art light installations, catch a live music performance, theatrical performances, outdoor sports events, night markets, plus much more!
You can catch most of the action in Downtown Calgary at Olympic Plaza, Stephen Avenue and the East Village. February 19th is the last day of Chinook Blast, and you don’t want to miss it.
